Curriculum chart

Students will learn project management and models unique to application domains as well as methodologies of data science and real-world examples. By understanding real-world data and experiencing the process of problem-solving through project research, they will not only acquire knowledge but also experience success in problem-solving and gain the ability to create values from data.

The 1st year

Mastering of data science ability at the M.A. level
Learning domain knowledges and examples of analysis

The 2nd year

Conducting for thesis which can contribute to solve problems in real-world society
Taking part in joint researches of our Center for Data Science Education and Research with business
enterprises, local governments, and other universities

30 credits are required for an M.A. degree, including 4 credits or more from the following seminar classes: data engineering, data analysis,
and modeling. Each seminar class should be taken with the lecture class of the same subject.
In seminar classes, students learn cutting-edge theories and techniques from academic papers, acquire the skills required to implement programs independently, and process and analyze data by using the latest software.
